Alan Cheung, M.D.

Dr. Alan Cheung is a graduate of Harvard Medical School. He joined Surgical Associates, Inc. in 1992 and is currently the Director of the Transplant Center at Queen’s Medical Center. Dr. Cheung performed the first pancreas transplant in Hawaii in 1993. He continues to perform many organ transplants and general surgery procedures mainly at the Queen’s Medical Center and Castle Medical Center. He was the former Chief of Surgery and Chief Surgical Officer for Hawaii Medical Center – East. He is a Professor of Surgery for the University of Hawaii School of Medicine. Along with his busy surgical and transplant practice, Dr. Cheung is also the Vice-President of Medical Affairs at Castle Medical Center. Dr. Cheung has consistently been recognized in Honolulu Magazine’s Best Doctors in Hawaii.
